Patients and families understandably have questions about what happens during the Sleeve Gastrectomy operation. What takes place is not what is seen on TV or in movies. The patient is very methodically and orderly transitioned to the operating room. After the procedure is completed, as the patient wakes up and is deemed stable, the patient is moved to the recovery room.
